    2018-2019 Fort Worth
    ASHRAE Chapter Year
    Celebrate the year with us!

Letter From the President

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first meeting of the year! I am humbled by the great turn out. Please remember to RSVP to the meetings, even if you intend to pay at the door so we can make sure the Petroleum Club gets an accurate head count and can accommodate us.

We are working on getting the PDH certificates out to everyone. Please remember to note on the sign-in sheet whether you need a PDH certificate so we can make sure to get one to you.

Spooky month is on the horizon, and with it our annual Fall Golf tournament. We are playing at Tierra Verde which is a very nice course, I hope to see you there.

I would like to thank the organizations who have opted to become sponsors for our chapter as well as those who have or have agreed to sponsor YEA happy hours, we appreciate your contributions. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor please let me know. This month's YEA Happy Hour will be at Wild Salsa, September 19 @ 5pm.

The topic for our technical session at this month’s luncheon is Outdoor Airflow Control; I look forward to seeing you there on Wednesday September 19th! You should be receiving an email asking you to RSVP soon.

Saul Martinez, P.E., President
ASHRAE Fort Worth

Chapter Officers

Our chapter officers this year are as follows:

  • President – Saul Martinez
  • President-Elect – Allen Grammer
  • Secretary – Scott West
  • Treasurer – Jeremy Snyder
  • RP Chairperson – Van Cashen

ASHRAE Activities

We’ve gotten a good head start planning some early ASHRAE activities. This fall we plan to meet in conjunction with the NTAEE Chapter at TCU Amon Carter Stadium, in addition we will enjoy a Refrigeration Tour at a local brewery. Watch for upcoming golf tournaments benefitting Research Promotion.

Get Involved

This year, we are trying to schedule events that will allow the membership to get more out of being a member of the Fort Worth Chapter than a PDH for attendance at a lunch meeting. We will be hosting happy hours after the meetings every month and sponsorship opportunities will be available. We are also trying to expand the involvement outside of the core group of people who have volunteered their time over the past few years. Let us know if you are interesting in volunteering for a position in the Chapter.
